Dr Cheney Drew

Cheney Drew is a Senior research fellow and Senior Clinical trials Manger based in the Centre For Trials Research at Cardiff University. Her work is focused on the development, design and conduct of clinical trials, specifically for neurodegenerative diseases, including HD. Her interests lie in the efficient evaluation of both traditional pharmaceutical and novel therapeutic approaches, with particular reference to advanced therapies. Given the complex and experimental nature of advanced therapies, she is particularly interested in how participants are approached, informed and provide consent for involvement in these trials. This includes listening to the participant voice as a central tenet of trial design and to ensure our research makes a difference for the people it is focussed on.
